Didn't have any issues as others had described. I suspect in their case the lower portion of the flapper valve might have also needed replacing. I just removed the old flapper and chain, laid it flat on the ground next to the new one, and adjusted it to match the chain height and float location so it was exactly like the old one, installed it and it immediately stopped that pesky leak with no other adjustments needed. The water level and the feel of the flush action were just as it was before. One other thing worth mentioning, this is a good time to clean out the tank, as any bit of debris can get stuck into the flapper area and cause leakage. That's about it, another happy customer.

This is an upgrade to the original model in my Kohler toilet. It's made of a very flexible material (maybe silicone), and it's slightly larger than the original, making for a more reliable seal, now and in the future. If your toilet tank slowly leaks into the bowl, this is probably the cause. The original model barely fit the drain opening, and apparently shrunk a little over time, causing it to not seal tightly. I prefer to put the float as close to the flapper as possible, to maximize the amount of water in each flush. As my house is old, a low-flow toilet can lead to drain clogs due to the minimal slope of the drain and the cast iron pipes which rust and require a little extra water to clear properly. I'd rather use a little extra water in each flush, and reduce my water usage elsewhere. A clogged drain costs well over $100 to have cleared, not to mention the hassle of having a clogged drain.Read full review

This new part replaced an older flapper I had that wore out on my Kohler toilet. The new one is a softer material, was easy to install and fit great. Since it is made of more flexible material, I think it works better, and probably won't wear out like the old one. I had bought a generic version before this, but returned it because it was smaller, did not have the foam float on connection chain. Glade I bought the Kohler replacement.

This was very easy to install, just unhook the chain and remove the flapper and install the new one. Took less than 5 minutes. Works very well, the float on my old one was water soaked and did not work well, this new one looks like it is a better material and that should not happen.

It was a good price and it worked just the way it is supposed to. Brand new and easy to install and worked right away.
