Fullfills its purpose
Protects suitably the back of the rear seats. Following the instructions, installation is easy. But for an European XV/Crosstrek exists a small problem: On the back of the right half of the European back seat is only one cargo mounting bracket, whereas on the Amercican right back seat are two ones. I solved the problem by cutting a strip from an old footwell protection and attaching it to the back of the rear seat protector on the unnecessary aperture. Now that aperture is closed and the rear seat is protected at this point as well.

Acceptable if Your Car Needs It
I wanted these protectors because I planned to be carrying wood around in my trunk. I did it once before having these and it didn't work out so great - lots of shavings in the carpet. Installation was a breeze. There's a bit of prying of old parts and installing new body pins. When prying out the old ones you have to be careful not to bend the metal that makes up the frame of the seat body. There are only 6 body pins holding this in place and realistically Subaru should've designed the seat back itself to have more in place. Because of that it feels a bit loose. Subaru added Velcro to the back of the protectors to help them grip the carpet better. It works where present but they should have added a few more patches to help it hold. At the bottom of the protectors the rubber is meant to fold and tuck under when you lift the seat back to its proper position. However, this has yet to work properly for me - I always have to push my hand in the way to keep the fold down rather than up. All that said, I bought these and will keep them in my car. They will at least give it that rugged look even if using them adds a little effort. It does at least do the job of protecting the carpeted seat back.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

They come rolled up and mine happened to have some folding right in the area where the edge would esthetically look pleasing as it matches up to the rear floor cover. It has been a month and even in the heat we have had they never did relax where they look flush when seats are laid down. Makes cleaning a lot easier
This makes cleaning up the back of the seats a breeze. Instead of dirt, leaves, grass, etc betting caught it thr carpet of the back of the seat ot easily wipes put of gets vacuumed up.
