Poor machining
The spear arrived new in package. The threads are course and hard to thread (not a big deal, just caused aluminum dust the first time threading the pieces together and is still rough). The spear is designed with inserts pressed into the tube. The problem is both are pressed in slightly to majorly off of perpendicular. So when the pieces are thread together they are all crooked. If I set the spear flat on the floor and role it there is close to a 1/4 inch gap at the highest point where the joint is. Over all, It will work well but not the level of quality I was expecting.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fiberglass???
When the sections were screwed together it was not straight. If it is fiberglass I can't tell it. Seems to be all aluminum with stainless fittings. It is bulky and. heavy compared to fiberglass. Wish I had spent a little more and got a real fiberglass one.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
