I have been using Titebond Wood glue for half a century. Yes I have tried different products. I will stick to Titebond. I have seen the wood itself break before the glue joint and clean up is easy. The "open time" you have before the glue starts to drys is sufficient. It's great wood glue that works on most porous surfaces. Both the homemade card table and the simple storage cabinet under it were assembled using this glue. (see picture)
