    Works well

Ordered it to replace a broken wireless doorbell. This one transmits/receives well, the volume is appropriate, and it has a good selection of toned, including some holiday styles. Plus, my toddler likes running through the house with the second button that I haven’t installed yet and setting it off, so he certainly approves.

  • Top critical review

    Very small patches ok probably

I had a patch job roughy the size of a quarter. Followed the instructions to the tee, tried several iterations, and eventually tried elevating heat via a heat gun. In the end, the goo wants to stick to the texture paper more than it does the filler material provided for lining the patch. No value for my application. Maybe filling small scratches it would be useful.

  • Did the job

I had not just a tear but a large chunk missing on my recliner. I used almost all the square patch to fill the area. I used the glue to set it under the repair spot and mixed the dark chocolate brown color to match and smoothed it on the spot. You get a metal ended tool that directions say stick to an iron to heat up to complete the two part possess of drying the patch. You have to select the texture of the top patch then heat it to complete the process or it just remains sticky. I decided to carefully heat the round metal press tool on my gas stove flame instead of waiting on an iron to heat up. This got the tool hot fast and I applied it to the spot to complete the patch. I had such a large spot to repair that I had to keep reheating the tool to catch small spots that didn't cure but I finally got all the patch to cure correct and the chair is repaired and my color mix match was perfect. If my spot would have been small I could have had it repaired much quicker. Believe me if you can fix the large missing piece I did you can fix anything with this product. I have plenty of leftover repair kit left with the color mix ready to go incase of another small tear. I recommend the product and it will work. Let me say this though. If you are a mechanical dunce and lack skills at fixing things you could have problems. But then you probably have problems with all kinds of things. Great product !

  • Works to a point

I used it to repair a tear in a tan leather seat in a F150. The patch and glue worked well to stop the tear and as far as true color matching I got close but you can still see the repair. So if you are a restorer try it on a separate piece to dial in your color. If you need to stop a tear this works at a reasonable price.

  • Great Product!

This is a great product if you follow the instructions! Repaired the seat of an UTV that is actually new! Not sure how we got the tear but it happened; but was very upset and bought the product because of the 3M brand! Was pleased with the product and the result!

  • Ok for proper use

If you are not careful can be real messy, the adhesive did it’s job but not so much the color compound, but then again I did use it to try an repair a couch not a car seat so it might work better

  • The hole disappeared!

Very happy with this product - it did exactly what it was supposed to do. I matched the color of my grey leather car seat by mixing white with very tiny amounts of black and yellow, then adding more tiny amounts, and then more, checking the color again and again against the leather until it was right. One caveat: the heating gizmo doesn't retain sufficient heat once it leaves the iron to cure the color, leaving it semi-liquid. I gave up on it and used the point of the hot iron to cure it, keeping the rest of the iron slanted up and well away from the leather. Worked perfectly.

  • Awesome product followed instructions worked perfectly.

Awesome Product purchased to fix my Harley Seat works great I was very skeptical using it but I followed instructions to a Tee and it looks and works perfectly. There is a very small none color match but very nice. Make sure you heat your small iron up for at least a minute and do not put to much color in crack only enough to fill in.

  • looks like a good product, but not for my application

I need to repair a large tear on my car's driver's side seatnck. I gets a lot of stress. The tear is large and this product won't be able to hold or mend the tear. It will probably work fine on a small rip or hole.

  • Works fine.

Slightly difficult to use. Works better with a hair dryer than the supplied tool but it works well if you are careful.
