    Saved My Religion

I rarely use bad language, but every time I tried using the new style gas cans, I ended up giving the EPA and all the "geniuses" in Washington a thorough cussing. The new cans are "spill proof", but they're also POUR-proof. It took well over five minutes to fill my lawnmower with one of those cans. Not only that, but after holding a full five-gallon can upright while wrestling with it so that the spout mechanism would "work", I usually spilled gas anyway. Since I replaced all of my spouts with EZ-POUR Replacement Spouts, my cussing has subsided to normal levels. I have three styles of the new cans and one of the two fitting sizes provided with the EZ-POUR spout fit tightly on all of them - no leaking at all! The spout is flexible and allows you to turn the can so that it will drain completely. Plus, the vent fitting allows the cans to breath while you're pouring, so they don't act (and sound) like someone with sleep apnea anymore. Just drill a 1/2" hole in the top of the can and snap it in. Easy! My only reservation is that they're a little expensive, but saving time, gas, frustration and my religion (!) is well worth it!

    Good conversion, requires special adhesive

This is a good way to make your plastic gas cans easy to use. You can also replace difficult to use CARB nozzles, but that's illegal in California. To get the new vent installed the instructions say to drill a 1/2" hole and don't use a regular drill because the hole won't be round. Then you must use Three Bond 1184 to seal the vent to the new hole. This adhesive is not easy to find and can cost as much as the nozzle. So it's cheaper to buy a new CARB compliant nozzle which allows you to control the flow with a trigger. I returned the EZ Pour nozzle for a full refund (I had to pay to ship it back).

  • Pricey Plastic but a must have.

Grubberment regulators think we are all children and that we can not put gas into something on our own. These allow you to adapt the cans for easy use. I have spilled 3x as much gas trying to use the regulators versions of spouts on the new gas cans and I loose barely a drop using this old style. But, we are all little bitty children to our grubberment and because a few people blew them selves up in the past using regular gas can spouts they make us all user the ones you have to fight with to use. I think for those few who blew them selves up that its natural selection, ridding the planet of idiots! Now we just have to get these at a lower price!!!! Hint Hint!

  • The perfect practical solution!

Anyone who has purchased a fuel can recently knows how frustrating and dysfunctional these pieces of junk are. I spilled gas down the back of my NEW riding mower a couple weeks ago, and down the tank of my Harley last Saturday. I've had it with the $#^$#& Safety Nazis! Went online and found the perfect solution. These spouts are great quality and I think you would be hard pressed to find a container they wouldn't fit. The gasket on the spout is much better quality than what comes with your can when you buy it. It's thicker and a far better material. My biggest concern is needing more of these in the future and not being able to get them anymore. I bought three. I'm thinking of getting some extra's to have on stand-by. Great product.

  • A good product and works much better than the spouts that come with gas cans.

The spout was all it was described to be and worked great. If I could change anything it would be to make them so they can be stored in the can. I'm always misplacing the spouts in my garage after I take the cans to be filled. Perhaps and easy attachement system to keep them attached to the can when not in use.would help.

  • This is our second purchase of Easy Pour Replacement Spout

We loved the first spout we purchased for our gas can for our mower that we purchased another one for the gas can for our weed eater. Very easy to install, good quality, and fair price. We highly recommend this product!

  • Works great

Gets rid of the terrible, so called, safety, pouring spots on 5 gal. gas cans. At least these only take two hands to operate. Glad someone can design things that are user friendly.

  • Only one thing missing.

Great replacement for those pile of dookie federally mandated spouts for modern "water" cans. There's only one thing missing ... a cap to go between the spout and the screw on lid where it attaches to the can. I keep 10 five gallon "water" cans on my boat, and I live in the worlds' largest temperate rain forest. I store my cans with the spout in the can, and after sitting in the rain, the spouts fill with water. (None in the fuel though) the same thing happens with the federally mandated cans. Overall these spouts are a vast improvement over the federally mandated can spouts ... you can actually pour "water" with them.(Some congressman has a rich uncle now from that patent) I fashioned a cap from some heavy sheet plastic, so the missing piece isn't a big deal.

  • Buy the can after you buy the nozzle.

When I bought my gas can, it came with a safety nozzle that didn't work well. So I bought this nozzle. The rings supplied did not fit but the diameter of the nozzle fit the existing ring. The nozzle works well and has a spare cap. I installed the vent cap, but to tell you the truth it wasn't neccessary if we are talking about a gas can for lawn mowers etc. The ring and nozzle from the can that I was placing this one on to, fit my son's can that was missing a nozzle.

  • Not what it used to be.

The easy pour spout is overpriced , and is not long enough to pour gas in automobiles that have a deep hole at the entrance to gas tank. The spout needs to be several inches longer and larger at the tip of spout. Its just common sense , more gas will come out quicker when the spout tip is large as opposed to small , which it is. I know that we are probably not supposed to use this to add gas to automobiles , but , automobiles do give out of gas , and virtually never at a gas station. It is not rocket science. Quit trying to make products cheap , so you can make more profit.
