Works perfectly with the MCUFRIEND_kbv library version 2.9.8 and its example programs from Github on a cheap Mega 2560 clone. Note the this library is intended to work only with shields attached to an Arduino Uno and may work slowly on Megas. Con: Surface mount components on the daughterboard were obviously soldered by hand - and poorly. Just to be on the safe side, I used a strong magnifier to inspect connections and used an Xacto blade to carefully scrape extra solder from between the pins on the SD card connector. I strongly recommend you inspect these connections on your own boards and reflow any connections that look bad, preferably with a hot air tool, though a very fine tipped soldering iron and a steady hand may do OK.

It is second time I order this type of display and expected to be as good as my first, but... It has different controller, which is NOT in library, so had to find close enough match. Screen worked, but will NOT be compatible with settings from previous one - can not swap without re-writing new code. Never mind. But - Touch screen does not work! I spent two days and exhausted all possible test options. At the end I had to: a) Remove screen from PCB (fitted with double sided tape DIRECTLY on the back of screen) b) De-solder screen from PCB. c) Enjoy the view of BROKEN flat cable on touch screen, REPAIRED flat cable on TFT. Although I have tools to fix it, it does not justify wasting two days for just a small display. I will probably add controller to make TFT and TS work over I2C and dump this silly "shield". Although it is very cheap and resolution of screen is great ( when it works ), but workmanship is below acceptable.Read full review

Display works. But one exemplar has askew mounted screen. And other one has skew raster. In both touch panel is mounted unsufficiently precisely. Only low price compensates these defects.

Good screen, but if you want to use it with Arduino make sure to install and use library MCUFRIEND_kbv from library manager. For some reason doesn't work with Adafruit_TFTLCD library (shows thw white screen), but works perfectly with MCUFRIEND_kbv library (confirmed for library version 2.9.7 with Arduino IDE 1.8.5)

Works just fine with MCUFRIEND_kbv library, except touch screen X and Y are swapped. After touch screen calibration (using included example sketch) and swapping touch screen x/y values in code, I was able to get all display and touch screen MCUFRIEND_kbv example sketches working. I haven't tested the SD card reader at all. The board I received was slightly different than pictured. Soldering looks good. But, there are three unpopulated components. Doesn't seem to affect display or touch screen functionality.
