Nice little add on for extra storage, i love it. I would reccomend selling it with a small velcro adhesive to somewhat secure it to the device?

Well, it is supposed to be an easy install, NOPE!!! NOT what I expected AT ALL!!! I plugged this item into my PS4, I got no response from the console as it shows in the videos that I have watched since... It does NOT format properly. It will NOT & CANNOT be used as external storage which is what I needed it for. ( so that when I download something, it gets downloaded to the external hard drive straightaway ) I'm extremely disappointed. It does work as storage but not what an external hard drive for a Playstation 4 external hard drive should perform or act.

It's not logical to write a review about a hard drive unless it's been used for a while, so I can't say much at this time. I've had it for a couple days and it seems to work just fine. It's very lightweight and operates on power from the USB port. An AC power adapter is not required. It has been pre-formatted and didn't need anything on my part to do. Just plugged it in and it immediately worked on my PC. Installs its own driver automatically. No trouble at all. How long will this thing will function is my biggest concern. But that is true no matter what hard drive you buy.

I now have three Maxone 1TB drives for archiving. One of them is going on five years old. I buy only Maxone because I trust them to keep long term storage. Whether I archive daily or weekly, it never fails or crashes. I have not been able to say that if other brands in the past.

With the new-gen consoles coming out next year, I decided to purchase a 1 terabyte hard drive for my 500gb Xbox One. I didn't want anything too big because I knew it was unnecessary and I didn't want to pay more for something I didn't need. I am extremely pleased with the performance so far. The unit comes with a USB cable you can plug into the side of your Xbox. All you have to do when it is plugged in is press device format on your Xbox, name it, and confirm you want your new games on the new drive. I would recommend buying the warranty because it is only 4 dollars more, and you know you will get a good product. This gets a 5 from me.
