Its built-in computer is able to automatically bring the water to a certain temperature and shut off when it has been achieved. It has a non-stick surface so it is not hard to clean. Excellent product. Lots of safety features.
Works as described. Great to have boiling hot (or whatever temp you set it at) water available all the time. Plug attaches magnetically so pulling in the cord can’t drag it off the counter. Water requires you press first the unlock button which gives you about 6-7 seconds to press the dispense button so there is never any hot water accidentally dispensed. Once you start to dispense water there is no limit as to how long you can hold the button and continue pumping out hot water. Next to Tiger, Zojirushi is my brand of choice for water boiler and rice cooker. The main reason is longevity more than functionality. I own both brands. So far, I am extremely happy with my purchase.
