The Great Atlas of the Stars is the universe at your fingertips. It is a work of art, both in the pictures and the poetic descriptions of the various stars and constellations. It is obvious that both photographer and writer love the cosmos and they enjoy sharing their love of the stars with the reader. Well worth full price if you can find it. A lovely, lovely book.
From what I've read already, it looks like an informal book for the novice. I plan on giving it as a gift to a friend. The transparancies look good and fit well. I'm worried about the book lasting through the years cause of the spiral bound.
It is like no other I have seen. I will buy several more to have to share. Stars, nebula, constellations, what hubble telescope can only see - and we can never see with the naked eye.
Bought for My Husband, He LOVES the book, excelent reference for casual stargazer. Very unique arrangement of pages, very user friendly
This book is such a pleasure to open, a blending of science and art, it opens ones mind to new planes of thought, I will treasure it always.
