The (3) items are all of high quality, the fan and housing, the solar panel and the electrical cord. I mounted my fan using the supplied fasteners and angles onto a 18 gauge 1-1/2" wide galvanized flat metal strip so to have more mounting options by the attic vent. I ended up lag screwing it into some studs after drilling pilot holes. It's really a solid mounting! One end of the cord has a keyed connector because it is important to have the positive and negative correctly connected so the fan turns in the right direction. The other end had a (-) minus sigh label so connecting to the solar panel is very easy. The solar panel does not come with mounting hardware. I used (6) each finger turn window screen retainers and stainless steel #8 x 2" phillips pan head screws. Tried 1-1/2" long but they were to short, that mistake required a second trip up the ladder. A word of caution, this fan rotates fast and is very quite. The fan did not appear to be turning when looking up from the ground to the attic vent. It was turning and that mistake took me on a trouble shooting adventure. So be sure to get a good look, it will save you a lot of time and effort. Read full review

Yes, this panel will power the fan. I think it would work better in a place that gets more sun than Vermont. It is very sensitive to shadows even from your hand. I added a second panel which really boosted the fan's performance. The fan appears to be very well made.

Works good, except the holes to install it are in the wrong place. You will need to make wholes in the other side with a drill. It takes some time to do that. But it's really good quality.

I like this products both solar panel and high volume exhaust fan for cooling my garage during hot weather. I hope I can also run a small heating unit during winter in my garage.

It does not run consistently as the battery must be completely charged before fan will run. It is better to buy a unit that connects directly to the solar panel for continuously running fan motor.
