I've seen name brand macro lenses go for more than $100. This lens is a fraction of the price and works great. The wide angle that can be attached/unattached to the macro works great too you do have to pay attention to your lighting with the wide angle because the flange can create a crescent shaped shadow. I'm completely happy with this lens!

Testing this attachment on a regular 18-55 kit lens left me with very soft, blurrred areas outside the center of the frame, and tons of chromatic aberration that didn't disappear even at f/16. However, given all the positive feedback about the image quality, I'm inclined to say it's my own lens giving me trouble, even though without it my lens gives me sharp images. I do like this lens attachment for macro. It's actually quite amazing for that purpose. Overall, it's okay if you're not intending on making prints. If I can notice the aberration and blur on a phone screen, a 5x7 would be terrible.

This seems to be an attachment lens for a 58mm. It works great! I thought it could attach itself to the camera body but it doesn't seem so. The threading isn't deep enough. Great item nonetheless! Just not entirely what I was expecting.

I have not had a chance to use it yet, but I had several emails back and fourth prior to the purchase and they were very helpful and explain everything I need to know in order for to make the decision.

Happy I got this came sooner than expected so that was a bonus. Haven't had a chance to really evaluate the lens. One thing had a problem with is screw on dust cap as it didn't go on very will, I hope to improve the cap by smoothing the threads somehow. But , all said and done, I would buy another if needed
