Two appplications for Nova 2
I replaced the ignition points that were no longer available on my 1960's Sears chainsaw with one of the modules. The saw now fires right up as id did many years ago. I also replaced both sets of point in a 1952 Mercury outboard motor with Nova 2 modules. The starting takes more of a pull to get a good spark than with the points system, but it does run well after the start. I think it just needs a faster cranking speed than what I was originally used to,for the modules to fire. I'll see how the outboard runs on a boat when the weather gets warmer next spring.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

device seems to short out by using documentation supplied
installed easy, started up, used kill switch to turn off chainsaw, also killed device, wouldn't spark after that. instruction should have informed end user of that issue. installed another device to restore spark, removed kill switch wiring and used choke to shut off saw, started back up after alternative modification.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Stihl 031 re-incarnation

Nova 11 ignition Module
I brought the Nova 11 Specifically to use on an old Tecumseh H 25. However it does not work, I replaced the coil with a new one, but as the instructions say, older designed coils probably will not work. I have a good spark with new points, coil, and condenser. Perfect Fix for My Green Machine Trimmer
I had an old (early 80's) vintage Green Machine commercial trimmer that works great but the ignition was getting flaky. I was reasonably sure it was the module, but didn't really know how to do the testing to confirm. The original part was still available for about $40, but it seemed a poor value for 40 y.o. machine when I wasn't 100% sure that was the problem.
