THis book is the first edition, The book covers a great deal of techniques with great detail, the thing is you must understand the book is out of date, no mater if you get the first or second edition, you are going better if you get the new book from GM Richard Chun called Advancing in Tae Kwon Do that has all the patterns that the Kukkiwon currently uses. This is a great book If you are looking to know the Palwge forms or if you need a book to view how the WTF/Kukkiwon art have changed in the years. all in all is a good book for a reference library of any TKD practitioner.
This Classic title shows traditional Korean Tae Kwon Do for what it is - a Martial Art for all combat ranges and one that is uniquely Korean. Tae Kwon Do is known for its awesome high power kick and spectacular jumping kicks; but it is a complete martial art. This book is a great complete resource guide by a well known instructor in the United States. The Poomse have since been updated, however the information is still relevant. I bought this book for the nostalgia and I've wanted it for quite some time. I've been studying Tae Kwon Do for years, and actually own several books on Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido - this one is my favorite!
This is probably one of the most comprehensive books written on TKD to date. It is a must for anyone interested in TKD and a good reference for anyone interested in martial arts. There are lots of good basic principals that anyone can use. All of the techniques are broken down into easy step-by-step instructions with photographs. It is just an invaluable resource.
I knew master Chun. This is a good book for any martial artist.
