Wanted a flat mainspring housing for a lower end Tisas 1911 I have. Not wanting to spend a lot I found this one. For about the cost of a colt plastic housing you get a good aluminum one complete with spring, both ends and the capture pin. Looks great, sharp and deep checkering. Nice finish. No fitting needed for mine. Slid in with a bit of drag as one should, and lined up perfectly. I’ll be buying more of these. Great part, price, and shipping was fast. Can’t beat it!

I wanted to stay with aluminum easy to fit lighter weight, never have worry about rust, more than strong enough for mainspring housing. A couple of light strokes with 1000 grit ultra fine sandpaper on the side rails of the main spring housing and it fits right in the frame, perfect fit!

Great product...might require some slight fitting...Mine did..but, nothing is truly a drop in part when it comes to a 1911...looks great on my build..

This housing was so light, at first, I thought it was plastic! It isn't. It is aluminum, nicely finished with great checkering on it. Easy to put together and install. Did exactly what I wanted it to do. Looks great, very comfortable. It was an excellent choice, glad I bought it. Good ebayer, too. Shipped fast and actually delivered a day early.

I bought one of these for my favorite Kimber, and liked it so much I bought another for an Auto Ordnance 1911A1. It works well, fits perfectly, keeps the weight down, and it makes up a good bit of surface area for which I no longer have to worry about rust. If you're not a 1911 purist, or are just looking for a solid replacement MSH...look no further.
