This tablet is great for multiple reasons: The screen is beautiful, even if it isn't always as bright as I would like it to be. Even at 100 percent I still occasionally struggle with minor glare issues from bright indoor lights. The kickstand is wonderful with its near infinite positions. Correlating with the above comment, I can often adjust the angle of the kickstand to avoid screen glare. The tablet lasts me all day being in sleep mode and an hour or two of constant use. Speakers exceeded my expectations, but aren't anything to rave about. They do the job. Charging cable is magnetic. I really like that. Not too heavy, but it doesn't feel cheap either. Weight is just perfect for me, especially for carrying it in my backpack. I didn't get the type cover for it, but a Logitech keyboard/mouse w/ Bluetooth works really well for my needs. The K380 and M535 pair really well with this tablet. Software wise, it works well. The i3 edition can handle Office with no problem and non-intensive games decently, such as Terraria. Definitely worth the money!Read full review

I have owned a couple of Surface products and I think they are great computers overall. What I didn't know about the Surface Pro 3 is that there is a software issue that arose after a recent Windows 10 which makes it impossible for some Surface Pro 3s to recognize the Microsoft Type Cover keyboard. I already owned one SP3 and a type cover which work fine. When I bought this one, I tried to attach the type cover and it woulodn't recognize it. I spent an entire day Googling solutions, reinstalling drivers, updating and reinstalling Windows and nothing worked. This is a widespread issue that I widh I had know about before purchasing another SP3. From what I read, it looks like Microsoft has decided that, since the SP3 is a few years old, it's not worth the money & effort it would take to fix the issue. I decided to keep the Surface Pro 3 and buy a third party bluetooth keyboard (for about 1/3 of the price of a Microsoft type cover) and sell my type cover. This solution works fine and I made back a few buck on the type cover sale.Read full review

The Surface 3 Pro is a nice upgrade from the Surface 2. It has a full-function Windows 10 operating system, which means that I am no longer limited to just apps from the App Store. I was able to download a different browser than Explorer (I'm a Google Chrome fan) and easily import my favorites from my old Explorer browser without loss of data. Gone is the annoying charm screen of Windows 8, which never really did much anyway. I mostly resorted to returning to the standard desktop to get anything done. The screen is slightly larger, which is a nice accommodation for my "mature" eyesight. The screen resolution is just amazing, with fabulous detail and true to life colors. The processor is faster than I would have expected, given that the Surface 2 had a quad core processor, and the Surface 3 Pro has a dual core. I also bought the type pad cover, which is a very nice upgrade from the Surface 2. The keyboard is back-lit, nice for use in a dimly lit room. The keyboard is also slightly larger and sturdier feeling than the Surface 2's, has a deeper snap to the keys and overall is closer to the feel of a standard computer keyboard. The Surface 3 Pro is slightly larger and heavier than the Surface 2, but given the advantages stated above, the extra weight is a very minor issue. Another upgrade is the built-in, multi-position kickstand. Rather than the just two positions of the Surface 2, this one allows for a very wide variety of adjustments, from almost straight up to nearly flat - very helpful. Although I've only had this computer for a couple of weeks, I've used it pretty extensively. I haven't really found any downsides so far. It has enough of the bells and whistles I wanted without a lot of features I'll never use. With the full functionality of the Windows 10 operating system, this computer has virtually replaced my laptop. It's faster, lighter, has outstanding screen resolution and is very user friendly. All it needs now is its own little superhero cape!Read full review

When I first got it, I admittedly started playing Asphalt 8 on the large 12 inch screen. Now I'm a graphic designer by trade and when I finally decided to migrate my work from my old Toshiba to the tablet, I was blown away by the ease of use. Being able to use the pen to do quick consultations with customers is perfect. Make sure you get a good brand 128 gig ad card asap. Because after installing Windows 10 and deleting Windows 8, the hard drive had about 30 gigs available. The SD card helped tremendously. Overall, I'm super satisfied. Oh...I also got the Type Cover and I couldn't be happier.

This is a good quality refurbished laptop designed for non-Intensive use. There is one USB port and one headphone jack. The charging cable does not come with it, which is stated in the product description. Be sure to buy the Surface 3 Pro charger rather than the Surface 3 charger. It arrived in a very well-packaged box with lots of bubble wrap. The laptop itself looked like new, but the keyboard was kind of rough and the fabric was separating in one corner. Windows 10 is preinstalled, so all you need to do is charge it and sign in. The touch screen works well if you have small fingers. My keyboard seems to work only if it is perfectly perpendicular to the screen, which is kind of annoying. My biggest complaint is that the home button spontaneously clicks itself when the laptop is plugged in. I’m not sure if it’s the same with others. This can be worked around by disabling the home button device. Keep in mind that there isn’t a massive amount of storage available, so you might need a couple flash drives. It heats up quite a bit if you’re doing a lot at once, but the fan is super quiet. It ran FL Studio and Blender just fine. It is surprisingly fast too. The battery on mine lasts for about six hours of straight use, but it dies overnight if it’s not completely shut down. Overall, do the research for what you need. Read full review

Excellent computer for lightweight user. Upgraded for free to Windows 10, and being a Microsoft product it works a well as Windows is ever going to work like. There is no way the consumer can replace any internal components here, it's all sealed an glued. The 64 Gb SSD is very small, so that's my only concern. Otherwise an excellent computer. Buying the keyboard is very mush a requirement. The keyboard for Surface Pro 4 fits perfectly and it's better than the one originally shipped on Surface Pro 3. The screen is far superior than most other computers of this type. BTW: Reinstalled the OS in US English.

Moved to this from an old Surface 2 tablet. The improvement between the two is hard to describe. Everything works better, faster. The docking station allows me to use this more-or-less as a desktop/laptop replacement. Now, in June 2017, the price of a new Surface Pro 3 is half of list price--and it's worth it. Highly recommend for those looking to get into Surface. Beware, however, that adding useful accessories like the type pad, dock, monitor, etc., will raise the overall price, but it's still a bargain compared to most other products like this.

I enjoy using this little gem. I bought it so I could do some occasional photo editing on something more portable and discrete than a laptop. With its hi-res display (small, but it zooms in beautifully), and decently long battery life, I'm good to go. The i3 processor can be a little slow, but I expected that going in, and it's not that bad, especially for the price. I'm glad I bought it, and sometime down the road, I'll get a Surface 4 or 5.

The surface pro 3 is way more affordable than the newer models and yet still functions as if it was brand new. Its quick and efficient. It has a great battery life and gives me the versatility to use it as a tablet and a laptop.

I always wanted a surface pro 3 and because of a great deal I got from an eBay member I was finally able to afford one. The screen resolution is unbelievable and the keyboard is more than adequate for typing and the surface is lapable Despite some reviews read. I am beyond happy with my purchase and love the fact that it syncs flawlessly with my Lumia 950 and my Xbox one. I can't wait to try the surface pro 4 because of the pro 3.
