When you're looking for a 'little' more storage

So it's not all that much extra storage, but the cool thing is it swings in and out and keeps the smaller items from rolling around. I have a 2006 Dodge 2500 Megacab, and the space behind the back seat is full, as is under the seat. I use the SC300D to store some oil and other fluids, along with my tow strap and a couple of tools in the tray. It's better than a box that slides around. I also have a full size cap on, so putting in a box across the bed behind the back window is out of the question. Extremely easy to mount, just drill a couple of starter holes before you dry to drive the screws in. 10 minute job. I also used a Dewalt Impact driver to set the screws. Not sure if I will go for another one on the other side. First off they are very expensive for what it really gets you. It does take away space I normally would use to strap down my small tool box. So one unit is probably all I will ever get. It does not make for a good tool box. Too deep to be digging thru to find your tools. I guess the only improvement I could suggest is to make them longer to extend over the wheel well. If they can do it where it would support the weight of lets say a socket set. Then maybe it would give you more area for wrenches and such. You're only going to swing one open at a time. So why not make the top longer. Depending on your truck, and what you put in the thing, you may consider mounting it higher, so if you have a couple of pieces of plywood in there you could still swing it open above the plywood. Not sure how much weight it can hold if not touching the bed of the truck. I may consider mounting mine higher and storing my tie downs in there. If the plastic ever breaks, I'll just attach the metal hinge and swing arm to a real tool box. Like I said, its cool how it can keep everything in place and yet swing out where you can use it.

Good, but a better design is needed

I think the design could have been a little bigger to fill the whole space up to the wheel well. The bracket is to universal, I could only get 1 screw in by the wheel well, and was no where close to a flush fit. Overall I am still happy that I didnt have to get a bigger tool box. I keep my hitch and some straps in the box. It was annoying my hitch was sliding around the bed for awhile. My truck would not fit in the garage with the hitch on. Still have room for a little more inside the box. I would consider another, but then my 4 wheeler would not fit.

  • Check your tonneau cover first

Okay well I installed this twice. First in the instructional recommended position but after I finished, I realized the clamp for the tonneau cover hit the top and wasn't able to close and the yellow handle hit my tailgate assist shock when swinging out. So, laid a couple of pieces of cardboard under it to set clearance and marked new location for screws. Everything clears now and in place, the box hides my previous holes I still used some plastic body plugs to hide drill holes in the spray on bed liner. Measure once cut twice is what I did.

Seems to be heavy duty and very easy to use. Recommended.

  • Nice product

These seem pretty nice, they should have handles on them so they can be carried around, also they are too small for a standard 4-way tire wrench. Other than that they are nice storage. Easy install and nice finished look.

  • Easy installation

Easy installation and took me 5-10 minutes. Gives all the items that normally roll around in the back of my truck a place to go! Most likely will get the passenger side one as well.

  • Both driver and passenger sides

I first bought the drivers side unit and loved it so much I bought the passenger side unit as well. I am always getting tools from the truck and this helps store them and keeps the bed open for larger items.

  • Great product, but DOES NOT fit 2016 Ram 3500

Tie down anchors in rear corners of 2016 Ram 3500 interfere with installation. Verified this with Undercover. They suggested cutting off the tie-down anchors. I chose to notch the Swing Case bracket instead and made it work.
