If you like Bavarian cookbooks
If you like Bavarian cookbooks, this is a good find. It also includes Franconian and Swabian recipes. This is an English printing of a book that was originally in German and was meant as a souvenir to bring home from a trip to Germany. Measures are in cups and teaspoons, so easy to make without conversions.

Cooking Bavarian style
If you desire a cook book on simple southern German cooking, giving excellent recipes, this is the book to have. Nothing fancy, but the way southern Germans cook their meals. I gave it to a friend that is from Munich and she hasn't stopped talking about it. Just as her mother cooked.
