Easy Installation but modest security
Perhaps it is necessary that a hot tub security strapping system can't provide really serious security, as the straps used in this system can be easily cut or torn from the plastic latch system. This product attaches each of the four plastic hold-down latches with three small screws that were easily installed on the very thin plastic of the hot tub's exterior. This tub is on a relatively high end rental property, and all four of the security straps attached to the original and very expensive tub cover had been damaged. It is likely that the strapping system reviewed here will suffer the same fate, but we think the choice of the sliding plastic latch key as opposed to the small plastic turn keys offered with similar products sold by this firm may prolong the life of this strapping system. Whether this system could be made more durable is questionable, but it did arrive (at the last minute for our installation) and was as described. The on-line video was useful in preparing me for the installation.
