With a mighty roar, Grimlock, leader of the mighty Dinobots, charges into battle to aid his fellow Autobot allies. The Transformers action figures date back to 1984. As decades passed, several of the original Hasbro Transformers action figures have been reimagined for modern audiences. Transformers Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and, of course, the leader of the mighty Dinobots himself, Grimlock, have been designed for new generations of fans. This iteration of Grimlock takes inspiration from the Transformers: Age of Extinction movie. It features a stylized figure that can quickly convert into a menacing robot, ready to take down the nastiest Decepticons. Even Lockdown and Megatron Transformers would realize that going into battle with this machine would certainly mean their own extinction. Age of Extinction toys were designed to provide fans of all ages with a toy of their favorite character. The Power Battlers collection of toys is designed to change from one mode to another in fewer than 10 steps. Each action figure is also given a powerful battle feature. Some bots are given a power punch, while Grimlock wields mighty spinning maces. A defining feature of the Power Battlers is a more compact size than the other retail releases of these characters. The Voyager-class toy was designed with collectors in mind. To transform Power Battler Grimlock, start in his Dinobot configuration. Detach the robot’s tail, which will form his mace weapon, and pivot his Dinobot legs around and down. Fold his hip forward until it locks in place to form the robot's legs and waist. Rotate the waist joint forward, toward his head, and stand the figure up. Unhinge the dinosaur neck and turn the dinosaur head up to reveal his right arm. Close the Dinobot jaw to form the robot's fist. Press the lever on the character’s back to raise his left arm and spin his power maces to attack foes. It only takes seven steps to complete the transformation. Reverse these steps to revert him back into a ferocious beast, ready to lead his loyal followers to victory. Grimlock is moderately articulated for a modern looking figure. He is depicted in vivid orange and gunmetal gray, and stands 4.5 inches tall. In robot mode, he features shoulder articulation, a waist pivot, and both leg and knee pivots. In dinosaur mode, his fierce, T-Rex jaw opens and closes, and he has leg articulation so you can place him in different positions. For added play value, he can even interact with Chomp and Stomp Grimlock toys. This product would make an excellent gift for both children and adult Transformers fans.
