Lightweight,concealable holster that won't hold up to Every Day Carry
I am really disappointed in the quality of the leather used in this holster. It is a very thin leather and I do NOT expect it to stand the test of time like my old Don Hume Duty gear. I have several Don Hume holsters and they were all made with superior craftsmanship. This holster is maybe (maybe) 5 oz leather. The edges aren't properly burnished and sharp. The seams do not appear to be very strong. I am assuming that with about 4 months of constant use, I will be looking for another. I am pretty good with leather-crafting and judging the quality of it. I am thinking this will become a very flimsy piece of leather with EDC carry and end up trashed, which is a shame because I always counted on Hume products to protect me while I was a police officer. The only redeeming value is the price point. The caveat here is "you get what you pay for." I have attached photo of a pancake holster i made out of 9 oz leather to show the difference in thickness...the JIT holster is paper-thin.

I like it. It looks good. The quality seems good. It is too early to have an opinion on durability, but it appears to be sturdy and well built. The fit is snug and secure. Be aware that a front sight that isn’t ramped can hang a bit when removing from the holster. I am certain it will be fine as it gets used more. For aluminum framed 1911's
