What is good is the content of the book by the author. But what is very very bad is the way the inside of the book has so many paintings, markers and highlights by the former user. It is not good for a re-sell. I believe what is good for a re-sell is what is fairly used and not some kind of dirtied texts with many paintings and highlights inside it. If I knew how the inside were before ordering it, I would not have come close to it at all.

This was highly recommended to.me but I found the constant bible reference and quotes to be off putting. I can normally filter that stuff out but it is really heavy handed and distracting. not my thing. Mite be good for a bible talk group looking to delve into certain topics. If you're religious in thst way you will love it! Aside from that the topics weren't new ideas so I was glad I found it used and cheap. It's not a book I kept.already gone

I am presently teaching a class on Boundaries. We are using this book, DVD and participants guide. The class has touched on many areas that I need confindence on in may decisions along with those in the class that are seeking answers to why they let people use and abuse them constantly. It really gives the truth in scripture that in the worldly way we would say we are not to be doormats. We are to in love help others, yes, but God comes first and it we don't take care of our selves and our time we won't be able to help others as God commands up to do. If we give everything we have to others we won't even be able to take care of ourselves. If you have questions about Boundaries you must read this book. Then it you want to go deeper read on of his books on Boundaries: In Dating, In Marriage, At Work, With Kids, With Teens, With Adult children. Many Christians live in guilt and do things out of that same guilt, that is not God's design. That is the deception of the enemy only. Live free, seek out the truth in scripture. If I could give it a zero, I would. The book 'Boundaries' is an awful and sad reflection of our self consumed society and the breakdown of the family. There are very few nuggets of truth in this book. I feel like I just drank a gallon of poison with a teaspoon of honey in it. This book blurs the lines bewteen what is a good boundary to set- i.e. not repeatedly bailing out a person in habitual unrepentant sin- and what is a bad boundary to set- i.e. I am legally an adult and no longer need to make a relationship with my parents a priority in life. The scriptures quoted are either not applicable at all or loosely applicable. If you know your bible well, you'll find yourself saying repeatedly, 'That's not what that scripture says' or 'That's not what that scripture means.' If you are living according to the world, this will give you an inaccurate 'biblical justification' to keep living that way. If however, you really desire to set biblical boundaries and to honor biblical obligations, you will need to consult the bible. The book 'Boundaries' cannot be relied upon to present biblically accurate boundaries. It is one of the most distorted portrayals of biblical relationships I have ever come across.Read full review

BOUNDARIES BY HENRY CLOUD
I love this book from front to finish. It gives the reader some practical guidelines about relationships and really helps you to ponder your past and present relationships and what you can do better. I have always been an enabler and this book helps me to see that I am responsible for myself and myself only. Nothing can change another person, only that person must change from within. This book is an excellent read for marriages and how to set the boundaries so that everyone can see where you are coming from. I would definetely recommend this book to anyone and see how it changed my life and attitude.

Where do you draw the line?
Robert Frost inspired readers of his poetry to question an assertion made by a character who was not hesitant in extolling the virtue of boundaries between parcels of property. He believed that "good fences make good neighbors," though Frost gives readers cause to wonder about the full truth and/or the limitations of that claim for barriers/walls/fences... BOUNDARIES helps clarify the need for recognizable and understood lines of demarcation in human relationships in order not only to protect our individual interests, but also to provide guidelines for self discipline (and thus,promote our own development and well-being while also protecting the interests of others). We all need to know how/where/when to "draw the line" with maturity, compassion, and wisdom, and how to help others recognize and respect those lines of authority, autonomy, acceptance, approval whether in matters of family relationships and parenting or in financial affairs and management, to name a few.
