Socks Are Great and Affordable!
I have a very, very old pair of battery operated socks that uses size D batteries. They still work, but wanted to have additional pairs. I liked the feature of the smaller 9-Volt Battery. They work fantastic. I use them for walking, snow shoeing, or cross-county skiing. When finished, I remove the batteries. So far, I do not have a feel for how long the batteries will last which seems like a good thing as they have not quit yet! The package really doesn't provide instructions because it is obvious how the battery is used. The battery connector mechanism that comes in the package is located at the bottom of the side pocket. I actually turned that connector around, *very* carefully, so it is easier to access. When I am done, I disconnect and keep the batteries inside the pocket. The velcro pocket is a great feature. I would like Stanley to make a smaller size - I wear a woman's size 7-8, so these are large, but I use them with ski boots or snow mobile boots. I position the socks as I am putting on my boots so the toe warming area is just under my toes.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great to keep your feet warm, not so great battery life
These socks are well made, very thick. You might have some issue with certain types of shoes trying to fit these inside. They are like a very thick wool sock. The only issue I have with them is that each one takes a 9V and that 9V only has a 5 hour lifespan. With quality 9V batteries costing 2-5 bucks each, you're looking at $5-$10 to use these for half a day, $10-$20 for 12 hours. It'd be cheaper to just use the $1-$2 hot hands feet pads that last the same amount of time and you just toss them when done. Great idea, somewhat poor execution.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Don't Waste your $$$ or batteries!
The socks themselves are a good quality, but only came in huge men's sizes (first problem). I inserted the new batteries and put the socks on and after an hour the toes only were barely warm. Get what you pay for.
No. Not buyers remorse. The socks did not heat up at a recent football game. The batteries were difficult to install and there is no on-off switch. I am going to try them again this w. e. with new batteries and hope i have better results...If they do work better i may rescend my comments. Great Socks for Neuropathy! Does not resolve all issues but it helps a bit - Every little bit helps when in pain! Well worth this cheap price!
These socks with 9Volt Batteries that you have to buy separately help heat your feet a little. Because neuropathy in your feet feels almost like your feet are 24/7 stuck in a BUCKET OF ICE WATER!!! These socks it seems not hot but helpful in almost taking the edge off, Hence less meds, which help to let you live longer because meds are usually not good for you and could possibly reduce your life expectancy, much less the deterioration of your teeth and organs etc. My point is that these socks could keep away from the Doctor and pharmacy to reduce body destroying meds. you won't be amazed but it helps for under $30...
