Time honored pattern
If you want to have history correct clothing, this is the pattern to buy. It's been marketed for decades...It's correct in every way. Only use Hudson Bay or Whitney Point pure wool blankets for your material. I used true brain tan deer skin for the yoke, over the shoulder adder, and it is worth the cost for looks and rain repellency.

It's NOT a BATHROBE!!!
I'm 6'2" and 260. The pattern fit well and was easy to add a little length to. This good pattern does not necessarily make up for poor sewing skills.
