I recently started to try to find a good portable headphone that had comparable sound quality to my full size home headphones. So to start I bought the first generation sennheiser momentum and they were terrible I can't believe sennheiser ever tried charging over $300 for them. I found a good deal on the second gen momentum the wireless anc version and it fits have much better sound quality but still not what I was looking for so I took my time trying to find a good portable. This is where audio technica came in, I came across the ear suit line up of headphones that have been around for a while with lots of happy owners and for good reason. I bought a used es700 for $40!!! There the best buy I've had in audio period and I'd be happy if I bought them new for $300. They are balanced very nicely for a portable with a nice little bass boost in the sub bass and audio technicas house sound upper mid bump that make female vocals sound beautiful. They have an interesting and enjoyable soundstage that's intimate with vocals but spreads out instruments nicely, I really fell in love with this signature. The sound quality itself is actually very very close to higher end full size headphones. I highly suggest giving these a try especially on the used market they are a great value, after hearing these I'll definitely be buying a full sized pair of audio technica open backs next probably the ad1000xRead full review
