Yamabond is the good stuff
awesome gasket maker one of the best stuff you can buy had a bad oil leak on my r1 stator cover even after putting a brand new gasket still had a small leak i put a very thin coat of yamabond on both sides of the oem gasket (you dont need to put lot) let it cure for the 24 hour before starting it up and the oil leak is gone this stuff works better then the crap you buy at the parts store

Best Sealant I've Ever Used!
I bought a tube several years ago as it was called out in the Yamaha shop manual. I really like the consistency. It spreads easily, and remains workable not causing you to hurry to beat the cure time. I've used it with and without gaskets and never had a leak.
