My brake light came on and stayed on for about 5 months. I googled and researched and google and researched and even went on YouTube to try to solve my brake light problem, to no avail. Most people said that the light stays on because either the brake fluid level is low or some little rubber stopper that is situated underneath the brake pedal when you apply the brakes, is either worn or has broken off. Well, my brake fluid level was at the maximum level on the brake fluid reservoir - I even did a complete brake flush thinking maybe I just needed to change the brake fluid. Still the light stayed on. I replaced that rubber stopper thing with another OEM stopper, even though my original one was still intact and not worn. I changed out 2 switches that's attached to the brake fluid reservoir. I did all of this and still my brake light stayed on. Driving and seeing that brake light on "all the time" annoyed the heck out of me! I was determined to figure out what was causing the light to stay on and I refused to take it to the "stealership". Well, it was just my luck one day when I did another google search and stumbled upon a TSB that talked about some Nissans having problems with the brake light staying on and the problem being the Park Brake Warning Switch. I drive an Infiniti FX35, but I decided, what the heck do I have to lose, I have tried everything else, so why not try this Parking Brake Warning Switch. Viola! Problem Solved! I am so so happy now that I don't have to keep staring at that very annoying red brake light!! :)
