Loved my 1st Yamaha Motif. When the new and improved(?) models came out I sold or traded what I thought was up a notch. Whereas the later versions have their benefits I still always preferred my 1st purchase. When I saw thus one in virtually new condition I had too have it. This one is 76 keys and I usually buy only 88s. With active controls you really don't need more than 76 and it's easier to case and transport. Yamaha really nailed it with the Motif series. I've played the new Montage model but not crazy enough about it at that price to cough up my retirement savings. The Motif along with my Nord Electro 6 and Roland VR 730 are in my humble opinion the best live rig I've ever put together. I use a Ferrofish B4000 Hammond clone on the Motif which has more options than the Nord organs. The Motif 7 has synth keys rather than waterfall so palm slides are super easy.
