Cheap plastic
Over all the winch works fine but where the remote plugs into it has weak plastic that crackes easy...that's it's only down fall

Part that connects the controller is plastic not very durable, winch is little loud, but that aside it's a great little winch mounted on my ranger for emergencies and does the job very happy recommend and would buy again shipping great
