I used this bridge to add a piezo element to my banjola. Simply pull out the nylon piece, then drill a hole thru the nickel plated brass holder for the lead, and insert the piezo element. It fits perfectly in the groove. Replace the nylon piece, mark and file notches for the strings, reassemble and install on you instrument. Height adjustment as an added feature.

The saddle appeared to have been peened over as if it had been hammered into the bridge, and judging by the gouge in the side of the saddle, I presume it was. The fit of the metal bridge insert was so tight it was virtually immovable and impossible to adjust. At $17 and change and advertised as new, I would have expected flawless performance. What I got was nothing more than a glorified block of wood, and about as functional. In an effort to make it work, I'm afraid I've rendered it unreturnable. On that count, my bad. However, it should never have come to that.

Both the appearance and quality is much better than similar plastic bridges and for not really that much more in price it is well worth the extra cost.
