Entertaining action accessory
These oil fields with bubble tubes are a very cool action accessory for any layout. Especially if you have a large layout with enough room to use 2-3 of these in an oil pumping scene. The accessory itself is pretty durable, and in my opinion very entertaining in the right scene. The only down side to this accessory is, these they came out back in 2000, which makes them about 18 years old. A lot of these accessories have been sitting around in their box all of these years. Some of the bubbler tubes will have sediment in them for sitting so long. Some times they will still work, sometimes they won't. These tubes are sometimes finicky anyway to get them to bubble. Either the tube is not lined up properly over the light to get enough heat to activate the bubbler, or maybe you have to turn the voltage up on the accessory, or maybe the bubbler tube needs replacement. In any case, once all bubbler tubes are working properly, it's a cool accessory.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great Accessory with with Minor Flaw
Bubbling lights have always been a great train layout accessory from the Lionel 455 Bubbling Oil Tower and Marx Bubbling Water Tower to Christmas decorations like the bubbling Christmas tree lights, just fascinating to watch and the Lionel 6-24112 'Bubbling Oil Field' is no exception with no less than 7 bubbling tubes present! Looks great by itself or surrounded with a couple of 455 Oil Towers and some Oil Storage units. One draw back if you are not careful is the brittle plastic that the bubble tube holding bases are made of. They are separate pieces packed in the box and can fall out relatively easily if your quick in unpacking. Three pieces fell out on my counter top and the plastic base rims chipped and broke pieces off. Extremely brittle. Luckily the pieces can be found on the Lionel website for $4.00 each to replace them. Still all in all a great accessory!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
