NotesJames' groundbreaking album, LAID, is now available as a double 180gram LP featuring printed inner sleeves. It was Originally released September 1993 through Fontana Records. The album's sound, which is "stripped-down" as compared to their prior releases, was inspired by their recent experience touring as supporting act to Neil Young. Enlisting Brian Eno as producer, James recorded for six weeks at The Windings in Wrexham, Wales, and Real World Studios in Box, Wiltshire.

Great pressing and cover, bad inner sleeves, but overall worth it!
Specific to this release, the vinyl is squeaky clean, not a flaw seen. The inner covers are heavy coated paper though, and it was PAINFUL pulling them out, listening to what should have ruined the records. I immediately cleaned them and found no problems, scratches or scuffs. I then put the records into Mofi sleeves which fit nicely back into the paper ones. Way Better on Vinyl!
I have had this album on CD since it came out in 1993, and it has been one of my favorite albums of the entire 1990s.
