.. one of my top 5 all time, there's nothing I don't like, just that drama-part a lil' cheesy as always - which shouldn't exist anymore .. but nothing's perfect, right ?? so - am not surprised + Blu-Ray version includes bloopers + B.H. V exclusive teaser that's not included in DVD - & Claire's looking HOT than ever, but not plenty of action as in the games > II & CV, & Leon return with his gears from IV > + his trusted Punisher hand-gun, aimed all head-shot to those poor Zs ( thanx to his II & IV experiences, rematch VS Zombies is totally CAKES for Leon > this too was no-brainer ) & then there's the rookies ( Greg + Angela ) who thought that those Zs are still human, but only to finds out the hard way ( Greg was bitten, & becomes one ) HA ! so much for his early acting tough, only to end with joining the Zs - that's just sad .. moving on to the annoying Senator R. Davis, who's just complete PAIN during his scenes at the beginning, then later revealed that he was one of the committee members who's decided the Raccoon City bomb ( didn't see this one coming ) & his right-hand Dr. F. Downing - revealed to be the real antagonist at the near end of the movie, who earlier puts interest to Claire & Rani ( ' was weary of waiting, then bids them farewell ' ), then invited Claire to his office for afternoon tea, only to show her more surprises - the company secret existence of G-Virus - which only he + certain higher-ups knows; even the Senator wasn't made aware of G's existence then last, the enemy in the movie > Dr. Curtis Miller, Angela's older sibling > one of Raccoon City's victim incident - who's lost his entire family > then demanded to the governing government to spill the truth behind the City's incident, or he will continue to spread more of T-Virus to every major populated city in country as his way of revenge ( which earlier briefed at the beginning scenes regarding WP breaks in India > which also revealed that it was actually Dr. Curtis' doing, not WP ) - - - - - & eventually, Dr. Curtis was spotted at the WP building carrying a duralumin case - which contented a G-Virus vial-gun - which he had injected to his own body ( exactly as Dr. Birkin does on II ) & was caught by Angela, who suggested to cease his revenge plan - but was followed by the Marine's laser-scopes aim to gun-down the Doc if he fails to comply, which he did & claimed to Angela that the G-Virus effects was starting to kick-in & turned himself to G-Monster & just wipes all Marine's that's in the way - then Leon's reappear with Grenade-Launcher, & begins the fight .. The End ?? this you just got to see yourself - am not spoiling what's in the end, if hadn't watched already .. ' メ - ル 'Read full review
I love this movie I also have the dvd version since I was a senior in high school love it and a huge resident evil fan except for resident evil 7 game lol
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
I have loved and liked everything that has to do with Resident Evil. The reason I purchased this blu-ray edition is becuase the Milla Jovavich are garbage. Slightly following the game and reaping benefits from a beloved franchise. Resident Evil Degeneration follows the games exactly with loved characters such as Claire Redfeild and Leon Kennedy. I truly hope that this type of movie making starts to head up and follow genres like they are supposed to.
I saw it while I was visiting Japan and it is exactly what I would expect from a Resident Evil movie; if you always liked the games and always wanted to see a movie based on them here it is. The movie lacked a few things like; more of the other famous characters, different monsters and chainsaws but you won't be missing much because of how many other good things the added (you will laugh at the Umbrella Pun part). The story was very well written and people will be expecting to see a lot more movies from Capcom (Street Fighter) in the future. I recommend it for the type of fans that liked the graphics of the games but were never patient enough to beat them; here you will get the chance to have the feeling of playing but without doing so.
I was surprised as to how much this movie related to the game (Good Thing). when compared to the live action movies, this film is hands down one the best Resident Evil movie out there. I have always thought, hoped, and wished that they would make a movie based on the game. and now the finally have. it's definitely a must see for anyone who liked the game in the least bit.
