60 shorts in Technicolor produced by MGM's master of travel James Fitzpatrick. These are time capsules of countries, cities that would be ravaged by wars as most of the first and second discs are pre-wwll shorts. The novelty of color really makes these shorts special. After viewing a few of these shorts you will become used to Fitzpatrick's dry, droll commentary and just go along for the ride. I want more, and with that comment, we leave this review of "The voice of the globe" three-strip technicolors prince of travel!!

These are the travelogues of bygone days which are presently being shown on TCM and were previously being shown decades ago in theaters as an extra feature. While dated, the films were shot in Technicolor meaning that the color is still very good and these provide a chance to see what life was like in places that one may never visit, albeit several decades ago. An excellent value.
