At first it did not operate, then we found that it works - just not on the lowest speed. I did request to return - but since I got it to work and I needed it for a big job - I am not returning after all. As far as design, the moment you release the trigger, the caulking gun pressure releases. That is well and good for caulking a line but for dab caulking (over nail heads) it is a pain in the neck. They should have a release button right next to the feed trigger. Also the battery causes it to be weighted oddly so when you use the "hanger" to hang it on a scaffold bar, it hangs on angle which could cause it to fall to the ground. It wastes a lot of caulk but does save your hand from constantly having to manually pump a caulk gun.
