    Best Air Pistol Value

Ahh the American Classic, 1377, pure excellence! If ever there was a perfect survival air pistol, this is it. In it's bone stock form or modded this pistol delivers superb accuracy and in either .22 or .177 is a little critter getter. Fits nicely in a bug out bag. This pistol some pellets, a cleaning rag and pellgun oil. You won't go hungry! I have anchored squirrel, cottontail and pigeon. You don't need 1000 fps, just the right pellets and good shot placement. Check out UK charts showing actual foot/lbs chart for taking quarry. The available shoulder stock is a great kid😎

    Crosman Nose Dive

I have been shooting Crosman pellet guns since I was a kid back in the late 60's, and the Crosman 760 Pumpmaster (back then) was almost indestructible, but like ALL American companies these days, the few that still exist, quality means NOTHING to Crosman, it's all about the profit! Yes, the Crosamn is affordable, but between cheap components and shoddy workmanship, the gun won't perform well unless you invest more money in expensive upgrades, upgrades that should have been stock parts on the gun in the first place. The there is the time involved dismantling the gun to perform finish-work that should have been done at the factory. Specific finish-work like filing down the edges of the pressure tube so they don't completely scratch and scar the pump linkage of the gun, Or loosening all the screws so you can shift the components around and line-up the barrel properly. If you can afford a little extra money up front, I would suggest trying a different brand of pellet gut!

  • Low dollars for a near-competition pistol (NOTE: I received the .22 Model)

I ordered the .177 model. I got the .22 model. Since pellets were available locally, I kept it. Get the sights dialed in, and the groupings are with US Quarter, if you sight it right. The multi-pump ability lets you select your power. I find at 4 pumps my shots are consistent. Quite often I put a pellet int the exact same hole as the one before it. With practice this is a great gun. Get the Steel breach, and the upgraded sight, and this is near competition quality. Those of you with a good eye will do well.

  • One of my favorite pellet pistols.

This is the best multi-pump pellet pistol you can buy. The Crosman 1377 has been in continuous production since the 70s for a reason. This pistol is great, accurate and easy to shoot. There's also a pretty big aftermarket for them so you can modify it to your liking both cosmetically and performance wise. I would suggest this to anyone.

  • Crosman 1377 pump pistol.

The 1377 model indicates the barrel and bolt are for .177 caliber pellets while the 1322 is fitted for .22 caliber. Fairly easy to customize, the Crosman multi-pump air pistol is a popular single shot air gun, 10 pumps will get a light weight pellet traveling at close to 600fps (or 500 fps for the Canadian version). Trigger is stiff and all the pumping can get old pretty fast but the pistol is fairly accurate as it comes.

  • Many upgrades are available

This multi-pump air pistol doesn't start out as much, which is reflected in it's price. The stock trigger is at best termed 'tough' and at worst could be considered 'brutal'. The (plastic) front sight on my gun was slightly warped to the left, and the rear sight adjustments are about as primitive as you can get. Fortunately, many after market upgrades are available and this pistol is fairly easy to work on. I was never intending to use the stock trigger and sights when I bought it. The bones of this pistol are solid. A couple hundred bucks later and I've created a nice accurate shooter, and I've had fun creating it.

  • A Classic for a Reason

Great pellet gun. Comfortable to hold. Easy to operate. Dead accurate right out of the box. Half inch groups at five yards, in doors. Used the minimum three pumps. Had some trouble loading the pellets till I hit on the method. Don't try to put it in the chamber. Tilt the gun up slightly and set the pellet right in front of the bolt, then slide the bolt forward and lock. For a backstop don't use wood, it'll bounce right off and go who knows where. I stuffed a folded towel in a cardboard box. Ten pumps at six feet, the pellet was stopped by the second layer. For stray shots I put a 4'x6' carpet with no backing folded to 2'x3' behind. The first layer stopped the pellet.

  • compact and simple to use.

Love the air pistol. Fast FPS. Very handy and better than rat traps.

  • Good gun, lots of upgrades available

You can get any upgrade you want from ebay.its a good gun but has a under sized plastic sight end that is loose and takes away from it's possible accuray. The plastic sight Piece dia is too small to fully fit into the pump so the pump is loose and the barrel is loose. I bought a tight fitting metal one,a 18 inch barrel a front sight, steel breech and a stock to make it a nice light rifle.

  • Good quality air pistol that is not expensive.

A year ago I discovered the wide variety of modifications available for the 1377 allowing you to create a custom pistol. This reminded me of the corresponding industry that allows the building of a custom Ruger 10/22 which I did ten years ago. This is a fine pistol that would be a pleasure to shoot with no modifications. But, you are inclined to modify and improve this can serve as the beginning point for a very enjoyable hobby.
