Easy to use sight pusher for front & rear if you watch a couple videos on how it works. I see alot of people out here saying the side clamp plastic broke/cracked on it or the down clamp etc. How tight are you cranking it down?? Definitely use tape on all contact points of the slide unless you want marks/scratches on it, duh. The cap on the the upper down clamp rod will split or crack with over tightening. That needs something better heavier duty, like a plastic cap nut from Lowe's, maybe?? Use something between the screw & the slide for sure it will gouge/mark the top of your slide. Other than taking those precautions, this pusher is easy to use. No wrenches or ratchets needed, if they are you got another problem, STOP! There's a guy on youtube that stripped out & destroyed 1 of the guide screws & bushings??? HUH, improper use of the tool. Some people should be allowed to use tools. All-in -all a good cheap tool that gets it done w/ a little thought, planning & care. Not perfect, but isn't high priced either. AND customer service from NcStar is A1+ sent replacement clamp caps for the upper slide down clamp very quickly & no charge.Read full review

Some parts well built, some need improving. It is a big, hick, heavy block of aluminum. However the top slide hold-down is cheaply machined. Also the rubber tip that protects the slide from scratches was cheaply made and fell off when removing from package. I found a "replacement" in junk bins in garage. Also the machining of the threads has very lose tolerances. China is not recognized for their machining skills. Hwever quality control is also not present. The pusher pushed out the old sights with some cranking. Also worked to reinsert. If you dont change sights often and have a $80 budget this is for you. I just wish quality control was more evident. One reviewer wrote "an heirloom that can be passed down from generation to generation." I seriously doubt that.

There is some slop in the front site pusher assembly that allows the pusher to rotate and lift slightly when the pusher comes under pressure against the front sight dovetail. I had to create some metal shims from thin sheet steel in my shop to insert between the top of the front sight pusher assembly and the bottom side of the tool frame to prevent the front pusher from moving under pressure. (The pusher moved and lifted enough to come out of the dovetail and ride up over the front sight dovetail.) Also, you are going to have to remove the slide from the tool and start the replacement sight into the slide outside of the tool before putting it back in the tool to push in the new sight - there is no room to try to start it with the tool. (This isn't a huge deal, it can take some time to get everything lined up and set when trying to get the pusher down in those shallow dovetails on front sights.) I didn't use it for the rear sights, but expect it to work much easier for those since there is no need for precision in pushing in/out rear sights, Also, the front sight pusher top hold-down assembly doesn't work for the longer truglo type sights - the hold-down would come down on top of the sight instead of on top of the slide. I had to do some fancy wedging to hold down the slide to push in the new truglo sight. Overall, it gets the job done for a reasonable price. I highly recommend VISMs Pro Series AR10 Upper Reciever Block tool if you are going to build an AR10 - great tool at a reasonable price!Read full review

I am so glad I purchased this pusher. Like the title says I had to shim it to keep my Beretta 92 slide from trying to twist when removing and installing the new sights. I love how easy to use this thing is plus the turning arms clearly have the required socket size engraved into the face of each arm so there's no guess work involved. I think this price was well worth the one time payment to be able to install and remove any pistol sights. I really just bought this to remove and install some XS DXT2 Night Sights on my Beretta, because Beretta sights are notoriously hard to take off and install without a pusher tool. This tool is easy to use and comes pre drilled for 1/4 to 3/8" bolts so you can bolt it to your reloading bench, you can just as easily put the base in a bench vice and hold it that way too. All in all it's well worth the money to not fu¢k your sights up, or damage the pistol slide with a punch and hammer. One thing to note is when you clamp the slide in place in the pusher be careful to remember that the tools frame is made of aluminum so you WILL strip out the threading in the frame. Go finger tight on the two screws that secure the slide in place, too much and you'll ruin the tool. Read full review

I have not used this yet but the product arrived in time.. Nice set up and looks well made... The only reason I gave it 4 was because there was not a 4 and a half stars and that's because it did not come with instructions but with common sense you will figure it out. Lol... In all seriousness great tool at a more than fair price...highly reckoned.
