Good girl collar
We call it the "good girl collar". Our newly adopted German Shepherd had very little training or discipline prior to us adopting her from a rescue organization. She was a very sweet lovable girl with a serious behavior problem. She wanted to roam the entire neighborhood and pretty much refused to come when called. We tried the reward with positive reinforcement method but it worked marginally well. We bought the collar about a month ago. We have never used the shock feature as we do not believe in such a method of training but the vibrate works wonders. She dislikes the vibration with a passion. It gets her attention immediately. We would give her 2 chances to respond when given a command. If she failed to respond, we would give her a brief hit with the vibrator followed by positive reinforcement and praise when she responded and it did the trick. She is now a model of discipline. She understands the limits and what is expected of her. As with nearly all GSD's we have ever had, they want to please and thrive on praise and affection. She no longer needs the "good girl collar" and is a much happier member of the family. Has become quite spoiled as with her brother Klaus and sister Rondi. unit worked i guess, on me. i could feel shock, dog seemed to care less. now, it could be i didnt have it on tight enough, couldnt keep it from rotating. used long anodes. dog has thick fur. didnt want to nail it on him. couldnt shock him when he was misbehaving and when it did shock him it was too late. i would try it on me and it worked. dont know.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Decent for the price
Vibration feature givens a decent amount of strength at different levels. the beep noise does only stay at one level.. and i havent used the shock yet. battery has a pretty long life before it needs to be recharged. i would recommend it .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Bring your doing closer to you
My dog has always done well on a leash in hand or not. Without a leash is a different story he would run as fast as he could. Around other dogs he was over aggressive to males. Only shocked my dog 1x no need to repeat this action after when vibrate function worked just as good a night and day. I tested static on my self before even thinking of giving a my dog a shock and you should to. How I did it. 1. Charge batteries 2. Sync reciver/transmiter 3. Attach reciver to the collar 4. Size collar for a nice snug fit. Enough to keep the reciver in place. (not to tight it can hurt your dog not to loose static wont work on a floppy collar) 5. Let him let him out to play and be a dog as he wouldn't listen to my voice command(my dog already knows in closed area) as he started to run I made a correction at the max distance I wanted him to go. 6. As he returned to me. I repeated voice command POSITIVELY as he came towards me. 7. When my dog returned to me. I rewarded him. Key is to know your dogs reward system. Some just affection works best like mine. But others treats are better and some are toys. Note nothing NEGATIVE should be done to your dog. Do not over correct your dog. Works great for a sensitive dog
I wanted something to use on our rough collie to stop her from chasing chickens and this collar with interaction and teaching from myself is a very good option. Should I have needed something to deter major aggression I don't think this collar would have delivered enough of a shock to stop the dog... but for me, it worked excellent - definately recommend it for a training aid of a dog not motivated by behavioral breed type aggression.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Worked Immediately!
As soon as we opened it we charged both units up, put it on our dog and gave it a test. We only use the vibrate mode. He's a shepherd and barked non stop when some would leave... We would say NO first, then hit the vibrate. It was immediate!! We repeated NO again and he stopped. We did it a few more times and now he stops barking when we say NO now. Eh, idk about the shock part
Everything works great. But I tried using the shock when my dog started getting too excited and I tried 10, it didn't work and then I progressed to 20 and by this time he was still erratic and I pressed the button and nothing happened. A solid dog trainer collar
First the negative. The way the item is attached to the dog collar is not totally secure. the reason we bought this one is that one we previously bought was knocked off the collar by a rambunctious dog and lost.. The control switches for changing mode of correction is slow to use and can easily be hit by accident. The effective range is very good.
