Lighthouse's Basic line of stockbooks start with a plain cover highlighted with gold printed accents. The pages are black board with clear strips (9 per page) to cover the stamps. Each of the black pages is double-sided and separated from the adjacent pages with double glassine interleaves. Double-linen hinged binding for lay-flat performance. Overall Size: 9 x 12 inches (230 x 305 mm) (A4 size) Colors available: Red, Green, Black and Blue Number of pages: 32 double sided leaves = 64 pages.

Taking Stock of These Books
l have 8 Lighthouse Stockbooks, five with 64 pages and three @ 32 pages. l do not like regular paper page stamp albums. Even if one uses plastic mounts, l do not care to hinge stamps. There's also a tremendous waste of space with the paper page types in using only one side. Plus, that one side in most of the newly printed album pages is used to accommodate 6 to 12 stamps instead 30 or 40. ln a 64 page Lighthouse Album, l average 55 stamps per page, that's over 3500 per book. Since l collect just a few countries and only pre 1960 issues, the stockbook is more accommodating to my style of collecting than any paper page album. One negative aspect of a Lighthouse or any stockbook to me, is clear plastic interleaves. l constantly use my books and the plastic leaves do not lay down as easily as the onion skin type. The plastic ones constantly catch stamps and pull them out of the strips. This can also damage stamps. Therefore, l only buy those stockbooks with onion skin interleaves.
