Talley Scope Rings Base 1" Low Remington 700-721-722-725-40X, Matte Black - 930700Made of one-piece construction. The rigid design has no joint between the scope and the rifle. The lightweight unitized design eliminates the possibility of an "out of alignment" interface or "loose connection" between the ring and base of traditional two piece designs. Ultimately this provides more strength and durability than rival steel rings and bases but doing it with a lighter overall weight. By extruding the 7000 series alloy known for its durability then precision CNC machining the mount to its final design, it provides the strongest, lightest mount system on the market.

As to be expected, this ring/base combo from Tally fits great and , locks the scope down. No worries about loosing zero. Best scope setup up on the market for weight, reliability, and durability. Can not be used with compact scope.
I have previously used and likely would again in the future use Talley mounts. That said, I am unable to purchase this mount for the intended purpose. It (for a 700 Remington Long action) can not be positioned appropriately for the compact 2-7 Leupold scope I am using.
