This piece is close to the required arch needed for Fender guitars with a curved nut slot. I shaped it to correctly fit the arch and trimmed the ends to fit the fingerboard width. When I completed the slots for the strings and finish sanded for height of the nut and rounded the edges it turned out good. Guitar had nice tone, too.

Easy to shape
Very easy to shape to fit nut slot and strings. The curved bottom matches up with my jazz bass perfectly. Love the the way the stings glide across the nut when tuning too.
