These Really Work
I love this sharpener. My knives come out so sharp and fine. I have a large collection of all sorts of knives. I'm not really good with other sharpeners but this one is really easy to use and the outcome is really phenomenal.. Great Product.
I have used DMT stones for years, but always the fine or coarse. When I got the extra fine, I was able to put an edge on my buck 110 that made the wife say "wow, its the sharpest knife I ever seen." It makes the edge go just into the shaving sharp range, but not so sharp that the edge is delicate. I checked DMT's website as per care and cleaning, and find that the stone works much better if I clean it every few uses. I find that the diamond sharpener makes an edge that has more "bite" to it than an oilstone does with the same sharpness level.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I had a brand new 8" drawknife that had no edge on it at all. After working it up on bench stones I had a good bevel and edge on it that would cut.
