Highly recommended add on for touring and century riders
I placed these on my road bike and they are a perfect supplement to the existing brake system. The cables pass through these levers so you still get to use your existing brakes and the added levers using the same cable. For example on my roadbike I have campy ergo levers installed in the drop portion of my bar and installed the Cross Top levers on the upper portion of the bar. This is helpful when on long or casual rides and when climbing hills etc.. By having the extra set of brake levers it is safer because there's a brake lever present for both the lower and upper bar positions. As far as the quality of the levers they are made very nice quality finish and feel smooth to operate and are lightweight. The quality of the braking is on par with my ergo levers. As a rider who has been on the road for many years I can testify that this is a great product. I wish I would have had these levers years ago!
