The unit itself is light but the attachments are too large making it impossible to get into small areas. I purchased the unit on line making my decision based on Consumer Reports. Kenmore Vacs are no longer what they used to be.
Actually, these are a piece of cumbersome junk! Whoever designed this never ever tried to use it. It's heavy, awkward and falls apart before it's even broken in. The pieces kept coming apart immediately and was essentially impossible to use. There was a piece of the plastic broken when we got it--of course, it's ALL plastic. Save your money. This is a wonderful update of a favorite vacuum that I've used one model or another of for 30 years or more. The foot moves itself when vacuuming, The packaging of the tools is well thought out. I was at first frustrated there was no crevice tool, until I found it was stuck to the handle in a nearly invisible way.
