I have become addicted to knitting socks this past year. I was ready to try my hand at more involved patterns and came upon this book. As promised it is easy to follow, has a spiral binding so it lies flat, and is a great size to take with you. Knitters of socks like them because they are small and portable and so is this book. The color pictures and the stories written about where the author found these patterns not only makes the patterns great, but adds interest to them.
Im looking forward to reading and trying to knit. I need more understanding as how to knit, and I'll get there. I am very sure that I will learn how to knit, This book will give me a good start!

The book is ok, not sure I would have bought it if I had had the opportunity to thumb through it first. Patterns are somewhat dated (but so is the book). Nancy Bush's other books are more to my taste.

Because I bid on just about every sock knitting book that I find on Ebay, this book, of course, was a must-have for me. However, I do not like it as well as her "Folk Socks" book but better than "Knitting Vintage Socks". It is an interesting read with the stories about each sock but I have not made any socks from this book. I think it is geared more toward the experienced knitter and some of the yarns she specified are not easily obtainable.
