Arrived on time and just as ordered. Easy to replace after removing the damaged one. Highly recommend ! ! ! One caution, PLEASE ensure you order the correct handle, there are many similar handles. Double check exact match requirements if buying for an older DW705
I should have paid closer attention to the handle shape when I ordered this part. Even though this says it is a handle for a DW705, clearly Dewalt at some point changed out the handle assembly on their DW705 12” saw from a square version to the version which I believe they now use on their 10” chop saws (this one with the angular side to the handle). I had to make a few modifications with the switch "on the fly" to get it to work and the cord collar on the new version is smaller so the weatherproof grommet from my previous cord doesn’t go in as it would have on the perfect replacement clamshell. Luckily, the screw mounts that secure the handle to the unit are the same and the wiring is the same so I could easily route the wires. I’m good at improvising, so I was able to make it work... but it would have been helpful if the cross-match issue had been flagged by the seller. Quality itself was fine and have no other issues.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not OEM!
Advertised as OEM for my saw model witch is a DW705 Type 6 but was not. If you want it to fit you will need to cut out two tabs inside the top part of the handle or it will not close. You will also need to drill out the cord hole if you want to use the cord protector as on the original.

Dewalt 395674-02 handle
This was a lot smaller than the original handle- luckily I had also ordered a replacement switch as the old one would not have fit. The two issues I had were the wiring at the switch was different, you have to pay attention to the numbers on the switch and also the openings in the handle weren't big enough to accept the original power cord. I had to trim some of the cord insulation and widen the openings ti make it fit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

good for the price but kniow you may have to do some adjustments
Overall, this handle did the job but I had to do a few modifications for it to fit correctly. Mainly though, it was the end of the handle where the electrical cable connects that had to be enlarged.

Cord flange not molded
