Radio worked after a MMI firmware upgrade
Because of the original VIN number in bedded into it, had to pay an Audi tech to remove the component protection fault. Still would not work on my 2010 Audi A6. No sound and no Sirus XM. Found out through the Audi forums that this glitch was found in 2010 on the MMI. By doing a firmware upgrade on the MMI, the radio and all its functions then worked just fine.
