After several tries I was unable to make pancakes from the Birch Benders mix. Following the instructions carefully produces a mixture of scorched stuff stuck to the pan and liquid batter with on indication of cooking. Maybe I "lucked" into a faulty batch, but I made several tries, all with the same result. The package I had was 14 months short of its "best by" date. I'll never buy it again. Carl V. Houston, TX
