The APM 2.8 allows for more position flexibility, making it easier than ever to use. There are many accessories available to order for customizing your flight craft while using this controller. The available mission planner ground control software is used to configure, operate, and control your Ardupilot board. Using Google Maps, it has a point-and-click waypoint entry. You can choose mission commands from a drop-down menu and download log files of missions. It also allows you to properly configure APM settings for the airframe, and it has a PC flight simulator as well to create a hardware-in-the-loop UAV simulator. The ArduPilot Mega Arm Board can allow you to operate and control compatible crafts. Just easily download the applicable software directly onto the board, and you are ready to go. This flight controller is compatible with Arduino and comes complete with an accelerometer, three-axis gyro, and a barometer. A 4 MB Dataflash chip used for automatic data logging is a fantastic feature that will be appreciated. Accessories and options include a GPS and a compass with a uBlox LEA-6H module. This was one of the original open-source autopilot systems that used the Invensense's 6 DoF Accelerometer/Gyro MPU-6000. Measurement specialties developed the system's barometric pressure sensor, model MS5611-01BA03. Atmel designed and built the ATMEGA2560 and ATMEGA32U-2 chips for device processing and USB functionality. This APM2 also features a built-in 25 by 25 by 4 millimeter ceramic patch antenna, a UART TTL port with EMI protection, 3-volt rechargeable backup capacitors, a 3.3-volt LDO low-noise regulator, and input power reverse polarity protection. Bad investment
got the flight controller and all excited about it, everything went well until it was time to calibrate the radio to the flight controller and nothing worked and yes the receiver was bound.
