The Champion Traps and Targets Ruger 10/22 Magazine Loader works fairly well but it is a bit finicky. Make sure you follow the directions and manually add one round to the magazine prior to placing said magazine into the Champion Loader. Each full rotation of the loader does not always place a round into the magazine, so it is easy to inadvertently try and place an extra round into the magazine which can dent the shell casing. To avoid the case from being dented I put 9 rounds in the hopper; this loader saves your thumb and is much faster than loading the mags by hand.

It works in the sense that it puts ammo into your mag... but when going to fire loaded Mag... EVERY round fails to feed properly.... needed to remove the mag, bang it on the table and reinsert... was really hoping this would work well.... I hate loading 25 .22s by hand.

Loader works as advertised but you have to be careful when getting to full load as it will damage casing if you turn handle on last shell. Also if you use dirty bullets the mag loader needs cleaning as much as your gun does. It does save your thumbs so it is still better than hand loading.

I purchased the Champion loader after having a Butler Creek loader for 3 months or so. At one point the Butler Creek loader hung up - the cartridges seemed to be in the right position, so I applied a little more pressure, and the handle broke off. To date I've only loaded about 20 10 round magazines, so longevity is unknown. However this loader works more smoothly than the Butler Creek (hence requiring less torque on the handle) and loads the magazines pretty well. You DO have to clear an occasional double feed, but if you're careful and observant it's still a time saver. Only time will give me a more complete opinion.

Just got my 10 22. With only one time loading the magazines I was convinced that something needed to change. This loader works well, saving my thumb and making loading much easier. It does take some practice to use properly, but gets better each time I use it. My thumbs thank you.
